Michille Roper-Few has been in education for over 27 years in Public and Charter Schools. Michille’s passion for working with students started in high school where she would volunteer daily assisting students who were in need. As an educator, Michille has fought and advocated to make sure all students have the same opportunity to receive a quality education. During her tenure at DLA and EQ, Michille has had a wealth of experience working with students from different backgrounds. Starting as a Resource Room Teacher, she has progressed to a Leadership Role that includes overseeing the Special Education Department, Student Support Services, and the Managing Director of Schools.

Yes, Transportation is Provided
All Students are eligible for transportation upon filling out the required paper work. Returning families get preference as there is a cap, since only 4 busses are provided. Transportation vendor is Student Transportation Services. Please contact school at main office phone number with questions.

Academics & Activities
DLA is committed to providing an educational program focused on preparing students to be accepted to and graduate from college. To that end, DLA provides trauma informed education, timely and targeted intervention, and has a culture of achievement centered on high expectations and high support.
Monthly Recognition Assemblies and Rewards for those students with excellent attendance, behavior, and grades.

School Safety Culture
Behavior, like academics, are learned over time. The behaviors that students engage in can tell you if students feel safe, if they feel like they belong, and if they take ownership of their own education. The Student Support Team (Director of School Culture, Social Workers, School Culture Monitors), aim to support students and teachers create a safe, positive school culture through a robust PBIS plan that puts restorative practices at the center.
