Warrendale

About

Warrendale is a working-class neighborhood that has the distinction of being surrounded by suburbs (Dearborn Heights and Dearborn) on three sides. This unpretentious neighborhood is home to unique recreation, restaurants and bars. Residents started the In Memory of Community Garden to bring neighbors of all backgrounds together. The garden has 12 raised beds, a butterfly garden, compost tumblers and rain barrels. Efforts are underway to build a pocket park to provide children a safe place to play.

School Safety Culture

Behavior, like academics, are learned over time. The behaviors that students engage in can tell you if students feel safe, if they feel like they belong, and if they take ownership of their own education. The Student Support Team (Director of School Culture, Social Workers, School Culture Monitors), aim to support students and teachers create a safe, positive school culture through a robust PBIS plan that puts restorative practices at the center.
