How to Apply

Points of pride

We focus on developing leaders with strong academic skills and habits, civic mindedness, and social-emotional awareness. We teach mindfulness to help students self-regulate and become intentional problem-solvers, as well as how to collaborate with others. Our students are headed to and through high school!

School Safety Culture

DLA Academy focuses on the development of a strong school culture through the use of restorative practices and mindfulness strategies that teach students self-regulation and problem solving skills. The school’s Student Support Team (Behavior Interventionists, Social Worker, Mindfulness Coordinator) work alongside teachers and students to implement a robust PBIS system with these focus areas at the center.
