Our students ride the Goal Line Bus. Maps of the routes are available in the main office. All students must register to ride the bus. There is no fee for the bus ride. If students attend the Goal Line Program at the Northwest Activity Center, there is a minimal charge and registration is required for the Goal Line Program.

Academics & Activities
The curriculum materials we use at RWA are Eureka Math, Wonders Reading materials, Interactive Science, Study Island, IXl, and Raz Kids. Our students are benchmark-tested three times a year. The students also take the NWEA test three times a year. The 3-6 grade students take the M-Step.
We have a dance team, and we have a royal celebration called the Butterfly Program. We also have programs, like Real Women Read, Real Men Read, and Health Fairs.

Our parent organization meets once a month to review what our students are doing at RWA. Our parents are allowed to express concerns and suggest ways we can continue to improve our practice.
School Safety Culture
Rutherford Winans is a very safe school. The students know that they are valued. Every student is reminded that they are royalty. We begin every day with the school pride and students state they are endowed with super intelligence. We have a non-bully policy, and we practice restorative practices.
