Our school is a public school in a public space as we share our building with one of our biggest partners, the College for Creative Studies. As such, we are grounded in art and design along with a culturally responsive and restorative education.

Curriculum

We are grounded in a culturally responsive and restorative education which serves as a throughline in our curricula. We use Common Core with EngageNY (ELA), Eureka (Math), Next Generation (Science), and the C3 Framework (Social Studies).

School Safety Culture

Our school approaches culture through developmental appropriateness and restorative practices. We have mentors on each floor and a restorative practitioner to help students process community harms and always partner with students’ families.
